All mobile transfers go through the browser. The speed of browser transfers depends on the network bandwidth, the amount of RAM and the CPU power in the system.

How to speed up the upload

FileWhopper’s upload speed primarily depends on your bandwidth. Keep in mind that FileWhopper is not the only service that uses the Internet on your mobile phone, so in order to ensure the highest possible upload speed for it, we recommend that you:

  • check your connection speed (use any service that is designed to measure it, like https://www.speedtest.net/
  • hold off on watching online videos and uploading or downloading any other data
  • refrain from surfing social networks or looking at photos on the web while the upload is still in progress
  • eliminate surfing social networks and looking at photos on the web while the download is still in progress;
  • temporarily disable other apps that consume too much traffic

When starting the upload of your file or folder, the FileWhopper app reads data from your drive, encrypts it and prepares for upload. Hardware on your device may interfere with your upload, but normally its effect is minimal compared to the Internet speed and traffic used. So, if your Internet speed is adequate and you have a fast processor, then your upload speed is probably optimal.

How to speed up the download

FileWhopper’s download speed primarily depends on your bandwidth. Keep in mind that your FileWhopper download is not the only process on your mobile phone that uses the Internet, so in order to ensure the highest possible download speed on your machine, we recommend that you:

  •  check your connection speed (use any service that is designed to measure it, like https://www.speedtest.net/);
  • hold off on watching online videos and uploading or downloading any other data;
  • eliminate surfing social networks and looking at photos on the web while the download is still in progress;
  • temporarily disable other apps that consume too much traffic.

Please keep in mind that at the end of the download process FileWhopper makes some final checks, reads data from its servers, decrypts and prepares the transmitted data for opening on your phone, which may take some time. Please be patient and do not close the browser until you see the “File successfully downloaded” message. This is a necessary step to ensure the integrity and safety of the transferred data.

Hardware on your phone can also interfere with your download, but normally its effect is minimal compared to the Internet speed and traffic used. So if your internet speed is adequate and you have a fast processor, then your download speed is probably optimal.
