How to speed up FileWhopper uploads

The FileWhopper Uploader has been designed to offer fast and easy file and folder uploads. The actual upload speed can vary for different users and primarily depends on one’s bandwidth. You should keep in mind that the FileWhopper Uploader is not the only program on your computer that uses the Internet. Here is some basic advice on how to speed up the upload:

- check your connection speed (use any service that is designed to measure it, like

- hold off on watching online videos and uploading or downloading any other data

- refrain from surfing social networks or looking at photos on the web while the upload is still in progress

- temporarily disable other apps that may consume too much traffic

The FileWhopper Uploader supports multiple simultaneous uploads. If you need to upload some data ASAP, just pause all your other uploads and the speed will go up. Please remember, the more uploads you run at the same time, the longer it will take to complete each of them.

When you start sending your file or folder, the app reads the data from your drive, encrypts it and prepares for upload. Data preparation is an important step that’s required for our system to ensure the integrity and safety of your transfer. How fast this process goes may also depend on data fragmentation. To speed up the pre-upload phase, we recommend getting your files defragmented ahead of time.

Hardware on your computer can also affect your upload speed, but normally its effect is minimal compared to the Internet speed and traffic used. So if your Internet speed is adequate and you have a fast processor, then your upload speed is probably optimal.
